LightFair International 2019 Day 3

Day 3, the final day for LFI. As the curtain closes for LFI 2019, many wait in anticipation for its return in 2020 at Las Vegas. This year for LightFair was a splash as many can take home memorable moments and experiences with innovations that they have seen. As the year marches on, so will the lighting industry.

As the final day for LFI ends, many are excited to see what innovations and industry breakthroughs will be featured at LFI 2020 in well-known Las Vegas, Nevada. Within the day it became known that Eaton’s lighting division will be spinning off and will be forming its own company by the end of the year. This is a big change that will be happening for the company.

As we have seen leading up to and during LFI, the LED industry has been investing more and more in control and connectivity technologies and solutions. IoT and smart lighting products are only growing in popularity and demands as technology advances further and demands change to a more interconnected future. There were also lighting products shown at LFI that were designed to help with acoustic management as well. These lighting products will see a wide use in office applications.

LFI 2019 was also great for the company CIMCON Lighting. This year at LFI, CIMCON’s NearSky smart city platform was awarded the Innovation Award for Controls: Components, Sensors, Interfaces and software. Furthermore, Philadelphia, the host for this year’s LFI, selected a connected lighting solution featuring CIMCON’s NearSky smart city platform as part of the city’s pilot smart city program.

In short, this year was great for LFI and many people that were able to attend. With innovative products being shown and discussions about lighting & human interaction being held, everyone is ready to see what the rest of the year and beyond will bring.
